Police-Public meeting held at Sangam | KNO

Srinagar, March 06 (KNO) : With an aim to strengthen the bond between Police and civil society and to establish first hand contact with masses, a police public meeting was held at Police Post Sangam.

The meeting was chaired by SDPO Bijbehara Sri Rashid Akbar, in which SHO Police Station Bijbehara Shri Anzar Ahmad khan and incharge Police Post Sangam SI Mohd Shamim were present. The meeting was attended by a number of respectable citizens, members of Auqaf committees, Taxi/ Sumo Union and business fraternity of the adjacent areas. The participants highlighted various issues pertaining to public importance like safe and clean drinking water supplies, electricity, roads and the eradication of drug menace in the society.

While referring to the issues raised by the participants SDPO Bijbehara Sri Rashid Akbar assured them that the issues pertaining to police will be redressed as soon as possible, while issues pertaining to other departments and civil administration will be taken with concerned authority for their redressal on priority. The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks.(KNO)
